SOVEREIGN CHESS - A VARIANT SUGGESTION

I agree, Sovering Chess is pretty cool by looks and I haven't even played it yet. The fact that you control multiple pieces is super cool to me.

SOVEREIGN CHESS (by Mark Bates)
I've made a bunch of folders and stuff which I've compressed into a zip with how the game works, looks and stuff. I tried my best, some of the stuff doesn't look so great, though. Rules are also included in the Rules folder.

Summary:
Sovereign Chess is a two player game. Whenever a piece lands on a colored square, they control the pieces of that color, however, when the controlling piece is captured, that piece no longer controls those pieces, and the player who captured the controlling piece now controls those pieces.
Pawns move towards the center 4x4 grid and promote when they land on any of the 4 squares inside that grid. The brown lines guide the pawns to the center of the board. Pawns can move sideways.
Rooks, bishops, queens are not able to move further than 8 squares in a single turn, therefore, a king can escape check by getting out of this range.
Pawns can promote to a king, and when they do, the original king gets removed from the board and the promoted king is now the new king. The promoted king does not go where the original king was. It stays in the center where the pawn has promoted.
Controlled armies can control other armies. For example, let's say white gains control of the red pieces. Now, when, for example, a red piece lands on a blue square, white no longer only controls the red pieces, but also the blue pieces, and the cycle can go on. However, this is very risky, as if the piece controlling the red pieces is now captured, white loses control of all of the pieces they used to control.
(I probably missed some things in the summary but the full rules are in the Rules folder as I've explained above.)
And also, this variant has variants. There's a 4 player variant (which I've included) and also a smaller variant (which I've also included.)
This can get very chaotic and very fun and interesting. I think this neat little (not really little, haha) variant should get added! The strategies people could come up with for this could be even more insane than 4PC.
put this in side feedback too
