Scratch is a very good coding platform! I use it too! As for where to make variants, you can go to the chess.com website, click “4 Player and Variants”, go to “Custom” tab, then click the “Custom” option, to create your own variant.

What does "create your own chess variant" mean here?
What I mean to ask is: what should a platform exactly do for you when you create your variant?

Obviously, most people expect from the website, that
- the user can define new pieces and rules
- the user can create and upload new graphics for the pieces
- the website will allow users to play games that follow these rules
- the website runs an engine that picks up your new pieces and rules, and then admirably outplays all humans

If you planned to write such a platform, then it would be pretty ambitious.
I sense that here and there, platforms CLAIM to do all of this, but SOMEHOW users never figure out how to get it done.
