why do I not get an award when I play my first game of “King of the Hill” or “3 check”?

I can’t play variant chess on my iPhone so I tried playing on my laptop and I played King of the Hill and 3 Check. I know you get awards for playing those even just one time, but I never got an award. Why would that be?

When I got my first award for the variants it was chess 960 and I had to win to get it

The achievements are very buggy. I'd recommend creating a Support ticket.

You won't get it from the variants menu. You have to play from the play menu. *PC only.

Also, I got "3 Strikes" after I played my 11th game of 3 check
