"Zoo Chess"

Peacock: Moves like a two-square-ranged queen. Cannot capture. Cannot be captured. If a non-knight-movement piece attacks the peacock, it will move one square towards the peacock. For Knight-movement pieces, it does nothing

Not really, say a peacock gets attacked be a giraffe and the giraffe has to move one square towards it and not let's say a tiger is guarding the square the giraffe has to move to the tiger can capture the giraffe and that's kind of attacking

Okay- so if a giraffe attacks a peacock it has to move towards it… weird function. Could be a double edged sword

Zebra:
Looks like one big zebra when two are together. Just a 3-2 knight or a 2-square-ranged bishop
Like this:

an aquatic animal that can only travel from one edge of the board to the other because why not? (like it loops around)
stingray? jellyfish? killer whale?
Flight animal with similar abilities, like the opposite of some of the bound queen-like moves, so it moves like a queen but excluding the closest two squares... Eagle, raven?
Pawns must be called PRAWNS

Finally some ideas!
I'll call the aquatic animal the sailfish because they are the fastest animal in the sea/ocean/water (It's kinda weak ngl but i'll add it)
To clarify, the sailfish (represented with a bishop) can capture a8, h8, and h1, but not b2?
I'll call flighty the wandering albatross because... well... it's the biggest flying bird alive. "Too big" to attack to near itself

I was also thinking if you wanted to set up and play!
btw I'm going to make the graphics for sailfish and and WA
