i definately think Bobby was onto something when he created 960 my only concern is white can keep the advantage of first move even to the endgame in some of the set ups otherwise great for non book games that test players tactical skills
960 is amazing
Talfan no need to be concerned about that. Chess960 is not supposed to provide exactly the same challenge and balance for every setup. So the few setups where white has an edge at the start is precisely perfect for the test of how black can defend with complete skill. The art of defense is just as important as the art of attack. Chess960 tests all these skills to their fullest. By far most positions offer black good chances.
960 is boss, but regular chess is beast. Sorry, 960.
