This is one of the variants that can be played on ICC since ancient times. It is known as 'wild 5' there.

Recently, I've had a crazy idea about a variant of chess. It still uses the normal chess pieces but in a different position similar to Chess960.
At first glance, it appears perfectly normal. However, whites pieces have been entirely moved to the other side and the same with black. Here's an example:
I know its very bizarre, and lots of the moves weren't thought through yet, but it gives an idea of how this variant would be played.
