When you say explode, do you mean in a 9 block area? Also, isn't it just a normal game of chess after the bunk beds explode? Also, the only piece picked will be the queen unless otherwise enforced.

1 captured 2, and 2's bunk bed exploded, and 2's bunk bed piece went on 1, and 1's bunk bed exploded, and 1's bunk bed piece remained. (1 and 2 are pieces)

I think we can do this by the honor system.

The rules: Every person can add 2 bunk beds to their pieces.
The bunk beds need to be secretly placed, and it contains a piece.
If a piece captures another piece that has a bunk bed, the bunk bed will explode and the attacking piece will turn to the piece that the bunk bed contains!
Note that what piece it contains need to be confirmed by both players.
Other rules are normal.
