chess on an infinite plane: vickalan vs rychessmaster1

There's no castling in this game (mentioned in rules right after the board setup).
btw, how would you do it? Is it the guard that moves instead of the rook?

That's not the rules for this game, and rules should never be changed in the middle of a game. We can play again later with castling if you'd like.
For this game you need to play a different move - no castling.

I'll play ry at infinite after both our current games are over if he wants, and we can play the castling rule where we change the rooks for guards. Perhaps we can use that game as a test, people can talk about other ways we can bring castling into the game.
I do think we should bring it into the game in some form, it's such an important move in classical chess, and indeed bulldog.

I've tried to think of ways to castle in infinite, but I was never happy with anything, mainly because the rook starts farther from the king in this game.
But I think this would be a good way to do it (castling with guard instead of rook). The guard is an excellent king defender - short mover but highly maneuverable (the king's buddy). And the king's leap might bring him to a safer placer. I might later like to play with this castling rule too.

I'll take that as Rx(-4,15). It's the only rook capture possible. Remember to always specify file, then rank (like X, Y coordinates).
