Chess with Builder (evertVB - vickalan)

(h2xc7 was possible but I don't want to exploit such a weakness that results from the starting position)
Hi
May I suggest for a future game that pawns do not inherit, they just remain pawns.
I was at first confused by the above comment, until I realised that the pawn on h2 inherits from the bishop as both are next to the builder.
If the pawns do inherit then they are very fluid and you basically do not have any long term pawn structure in the game.
Good luck

I thought of that. But even now I won't rush with my fluid pawns, the threat that I could do it has more advantage than immediately use it for a small short turn gain.

I was actually thinking about your game, dozing in bed this morning.
Just a few thoughts...
Always liked a piece that moves like a king, used it before, good for builder.
Suggest 2 builders to keep piece symmetry: 2 rooks + 2 bishops + 2 knights + 2 builders
Suggest remove restriction on builder takes builder, allow it, you will have lots of endgames with King + Builder(s) + Pawns versus the same, little inheritance in endgames, the opposing builders will just end up blocking each other.
In starting position builder next to king and next to queen, so can only move a pawn or knight on first move
Not sure if your builder can capture other pieces or pawns, should perhaps allow it, so it's basically like a king but not royal and yet it has a special power.
Have fun
