Thank you all for your answer regarding how to play Chess 960 live on this platform, appreciate it thumbup

It's my lowest rating as well. Even with the pieces mirroring each other, it's almost impossible to keep track of and adapt to. Within a few moves/captures the position usually resembles some kind of awkward and cramped endgame. My daily960 is higher but I've only played 20 games.

Can you castle if your king and king's rook are on their normal squares? I'm really new to Chess and am seeking an answer

If you are new to chess don't confuse yourself with variants. I think even if the normal starting position for normal chess was completely arbitrary, it is still the best one because the symmetry makes it easier to understand.

In normal chess (not chess 960) you CAN castle if your king and king's rook are on their normal squares but ONLY if neither piece has previously moved, the king does not cross or lands in any square that is under attack, and the king is not in check.

Chess960 is a good setup but takes some time to analyse in tournaments

(My English is rubbish, I'm Brazilian) hi, my opinion on chess960 is that younger players on chess don't know or know how to play and it ends up making it difficult, because players have many options Even more so for people who have never played amateur chess, who end up knowing the game modes (Blitz, rapid and bullet which are very common modes for other people) so they focus In basic modes and not in modes that are rarely ""played""
