For those who don't have time to read the whole thing. It basically tells the story of a dirt-poor Ugandan girl who can barely read, yet is the 2nd best chess player in the country. When playing at high-level international tournaments, however, she does get beat a lot, because they are using memorized moves against her, whereas she has to come up with her own moves.
I was thinking that this girl's natural talent would be a perfect fit for chess960, since it would level the playing field a bit.
