Of course the recommended way to enter games by hand is dragging pieces with the mouse.

The moves look simple enough, but if you have to copy lots of them with the keyboard , you have to deal with letters, numbers and the three mathematical symbols. With Excel as assistant, things can be simplified a little bit.
In the past, I sometimes copy game scores from books to some XQ softwares with this little trick. The two moves above becomes:
crhp ( the pieces of the two moves first ) and then the coordinates:
205312322711 ( the moves with 0 to stand for =, 1 stands for + and 2 stands for -
With some tinkering with excel functions, the original moves are then displayed.
In cases when you find a game really worth studying, and transferring the game scores from a book or a non-copiable XQ website, the copying is really a breezethrough.
For those who have downloaded the QH Toolkit 1.0, The copied moves are then turned into a format compatible with QianHong .
The little excel converter will be available very soon from the Downloads section.
