a pawn being pinned? (something new I believe won't happen in normal chess).

I wouldn't really call this a pin; it's more like an "anti-discovery". I can't capture the grasshopper because its move "anti-discovered" a check from another grasshopper. There's certainly no equivalent tactic in normal chess, but I'd say the closest relative is probably the ordinary discovery...

...says the guy getting utterly destroyed at a game he claims to understand. Laughing  Ah, well...

You're right, a discovered check (or anti-discovered) is a better name for it. I had to think if there was an equivalent tactic in normal chess - and I agree - seems to not be one.

It seems you've completely outplayed me in this game, so well done. Barring an unimaginable mishap of some sort, Black should now win easily.

By pieces, I think were within 2 points of each other (difference is bishop over pawn).
What's interesting in this game is fast rate of taking pieces.  24 captured in 24 moves. (but game isn't too short because it starts with the +16 grasshoppers)
Well, in Infinite Plane I have not played as well.sad.png
My only hope there (barring inaccurate play by you) is if I somehow have a hidden positional advantage, but I'm beginning to think that's too optimistic.
