Let's invent some very weird pieces

I used paint
they way I made them is a secret

I would love to play a trial variant game with the Nec and Skelletons
Shall we play?

The shape-shifter:
The shape-shifter begins with the moving capabilities of a knight. However, it's movement changes as the game progresses. For example, if it captures a queen, it can now move like a queen until it captures a new piece, however, if it then captures a pawn, it has the capabilities of a pawn and no longer can move like a queen. If it has pawn movement, it can not promote. It simply is stuck on the final rank. I think this would create interesting dynamics because it is a powerful piece, but you must be selective in deciding whether a capture is worthwhile. What do you guys think?
The Uniqator
The Uniqator moves like a Rook. He has no normal capture.
The Uniqator can capture in a special way:
If the Uniqator sees two or more pieces of the same kind, regardless of color, from these pieces he may remove enemy pieces until only one of that kind, or only friendly pieces, are left.
He cannot remove friendly pieces. This capture is done from distance.
He must remove the maximum number of pieces possible (and therefore, the entire capture would be illegal if one of the removals would put his own King in check). But it is allowed to leave out the capture entirely.
He can move and make his capture from the destination square, or he can not move at all and make his capture from the current square. Both these scenario's count as one move.
Passive capture is allowed. A move with another piece into the line of the friendly Uniqator allows this capture by the Uniqator. It counts as one move done by the moving piece.
As with all other pieces, threatening the King with this capture is check.
It is great idea.
I find this piece quite agile, so I will call it the Monkey. Now I will give exactly the same explanation but more elaborate and with diagrams.
The Monkey moves and captures like a Knight.
On top of this, he can move to or capture on a square which is a Knight's move away from his previous position - but only when he does so on the immediate next move. (As if he 'remembers' these positions only during one move.)
The following sample diagrams give an example. Suppose we start from this position:
The Monkey normally can make a Knight's move. So it could jump to h4:
Now if White would play Qi6-i3, intending a double attack, then Black could capture with the Monkey. because i3 is a Knight's move away from the Monkey's previous position:
But if White would play Rj8+, followed by Ka7:
then after Qi3 the Monkey has only normal Knight's moves and cannot take on i3.
evert, I want to play Bulldog with Monkey with you. Create the topic please.
A variation to the Xiangqi canon: A piece that moves and captures like a rook. It can - and must - jump over one piece if it wants to give check.
I think this piece we will call Chariot.
Cat and Mouse.
Cat moves only like a knight, but captures like a knight or 1 square diagonally.
Mouse moves and captures like a king.
A Mouse cannot be moved when a Cat stands on it.
Cat can capture the Mouse, but the Mouse cannot capture the Cat.
Orva. Can move and capture like the rook. When the Orva captures a piece, the captured piece will not be removed from the board. Instead the Orva can chose where to place the captured piece (must be a free square). Orva cannot capture the king. Check and mate Orva gives like a rook.
If Orva takes a Pawn, can chose where to place the captured piece (must be a free square). If white decide take it to a6, this move will be written like Or: d3(a6). Position after this move

Detective:
The detective has the movement of a king, however, it may not capture. It's special ability is that when it forces check, it automatically wins (it gets a double-move when it forces check). Was that explained thoroughly enough, or does it need more explanation?

I would like to invent a piece that on its first move it can move like a queen. On the second move, it can move like a knight. It can move like a queen or knight on the third move.
I would like to name it the Queenknight.
Chariot. A variation to the Xiangqi canon: A piece that moves and captures like a rook. It can - and must jump over one piece if it wants to give check.
This piece invented by Evert823, but the name of this piece found by me.

This piece sounds fun. I'd love to see it in action
Maybe we can play these pieces. Balashukla has ignored both of my comments saying that I want to try his pieces.

A piece with a different ability when the King is the target. Very interesting. In Tenjiku Shogi pieces exist with , rather, more limited abilities towards the King.

It would be interesting though since it can't capture. What is Tenjiku Shogi?
