I am pretty sure I have Ralph Betza once seen mentioning this idea in one of his may pages on chessvariants.com (he basically has an entire sub-website there), but I could not find it now.
The antiqueen and others antiriders (useful for infinite board chess?)

These "anti-rider" and the pantheon are interesting pieces. In your title you mentioned good for Infinite chess. Would anyone like to play a game of infinite chess with one of these pieces added? I haven't yet thought of where to start any of these new concept pieces yet. Here is the basic start position for "chess on an infinite plane" (one game currently in progress between friedmelon and me).
I'd like to start another game sometime, and would like to try one of Angel3Ds pieces too.

I thought of a piece.
The "Wizard" must move in a straight line like the queen, but it must jump over the piece it would hit and land on the space past it.
The "Wizard" must continue moving until it jumps over a piece, and it must stop after it has.

You may want to zoom in.
It can't stop *before* it reaches a piece, and it can't capture the piece it jumps over, but it may capture the piece past it.

lol - I agree. If anyone wanted to play it with one of Angel3D's pieces, we would probably need to change the start position of other pieces so the whole thing isn't too complicated. But a lot of "weak" pieces combined with one "strong" piece can cause its own problems too.
Since Angel 3D is inventing these new pieces (which are interesting because they have a new "class" of moves), I might be willing to try.😬

I believe that type of piece is called a hopper, although there are many types of hoppers. Checkers is a game which has all hoppers, but not the same as yours. (in checkers all the pieces are the same so not as interesting in my opinion). Adding your piece to a chess game could be fun!😲😊
I do not know if this type of rider has already been invented, but based on what I have found, I think that not.
I have dreamed about a chess where pieces was moving backwards, and that has given me an idea: antiriders.
Antiriders would be basically riders pieces (like rook, bishop and queen) that moves from the infinite to their current position instead from their current position to the infinite.
This subtype of rider could be very useful for infinite board chess, as well as for some big chess variant.
I created an example for better illustrate the concept: antiqueen or omnidiron.
Omnidiron:
The omnidiron, a piece with a name as abstract as its own movement, would be the antirider analogue of the queen, a guardian antirider.
So, basically this piece would move from the infinite to the current position of itself, following diagonal and ortogonal trajectories until the first adjacent square to the current position, or until reach an obstacle piece.
