Quite weak piece. But then, there's nothing wrong with having weak pieces that still add to the total complexity.
You could allow it to change direction within one move and go from last square to last square. That would be crazy.
Do you by any direction mean like a queen?

I meant that.
the ball can move to any direction it want to but only can move to the last legal square.
