Hi Ivan, good to hear from you. For me if a game has a typo I would like the typo to be fixed so the game is not ruined. But if Horus makes a blunder then I would take it. In this case we fixed the typo.

Ivan, thanks for reminding me about the rule. "When a guard captures a knight, he turns into a joker (if the reserve allows this)." I forgot about that, and if this wasn't an exchange HorusTheThird would have had a Joker on the board!

Too bad. That wasted a reserve piece.

There's not many games to know about common endings, but I suspect using both reserves for any piece is not common. But it would be really interesting if the game goes that way - each side gets low on reserves and it becomes a big factor in play.
