Your move, please!

10. (K) The king moves by N(1) or N(2) mode during the game, provided that he hasn't been checked before he makes his move. It loses the right to make N(2) move after the check and moves only by N(1) mode.

I'm a bit confused. Does a King have the option to move two spaces in any direction until check, or can he only move two spaces in any direction on his first move?

IvanKosintsev

The King has the option to move two spaces in any direction until check.

By first move instead castle one ,two, three and four by two steps if

the way is free. But for King and Pawn you can propose own rules.

BattleChessGN18

Is there a reason why castling is taken out in the first place? I don't honestly see the validity in that.

IvanKosintsev

O.K. We remain the casting with Rook and? Marshall?

Has the King the option to move two spaces?

BattleChessGN18

The following's what I've done with my own variant. And, it's just a light suggestion:

On a 12x12 configuration, the King has the option to castle with either the Rook or the Helepolis, both being on the same rank as the King. The Helepolis are just one square closer to the King than the Rooks.

Maybe you could do something similar. You can make the King castle with either the Rook or the Marshall. (And, if you want to steal my idea from my specified variant, the King can move 3 or 4 squares towards to the side of the castling Rook/Marshall.)

My point is simply that castling can work with your variant too, despite slightly altered rules of the King. Personally, I feel that it can benefit your variant, but that's just me.

Ace569er

So yes his is. So mine should be too. Is that your logic? Ok....

BattleChessGN18

No, it's not.

Grow up, dude.

I am agree with the castling Rook/Marshall. But don't forget that King has one additional intermediate row to the pawns.

BattleChessGN18, what are you thinking about promotion of pawn?

I'm not too sure what you're asking about promotion. Can you please clarify?

(Are you asking what pieces pawns should be allowed to be promoted to? Whether or not promotion should exist in this variant at all? etc.)

IvanKosintsev

You have the right to choose own rules of promotion (8,9,10 rows and pieces).

And do your first move!

 o rly?

Ace569er

would you two like me to make this playable on winboard? It would make your life a little easier. If so Battle, please explain what I mean to him. This would be very easy to make. Because that looks like a lot of work, plus is slightly confusing. Let me know, it is up to you two.

Look around you.

Does everyone in the world speak English?

Is it nature's rule of survival that one must speak English?

Will one socially die off if he/she doesn't know English?

We westerners and Easterners alike are all victims of and oppressors with imperialistic pomposity. I'm simply putting it in your and all else's face.\; merely for food for thought.
