Did you go to Twitch by mistake?
If you just use the chesstv link, there are no ads, at least not for the first 10 minutes.
Twitch bombards non-subscribers with ads.

Thank you. Your reply helped me - I realized that any link I click now goes to Twitch. It used to go to stay on Chess.com, but that is mo longer an option, at least on iPhone. I have not tried desktop.

The ads display within the app (iOS). How do you configure Adblock to work within the Chess.com app?

I use chess.com on the chrome browser, so I don't have that problem.

It's not a lie but it wouldn't apply to ads on Twitch or ads from chess.com.
