Matches between teams are normally played as daily chess. Standard time control is 3 days per move. The amount of cheating in matches may be a bit lower because some teams have restrictions against new accounts ect.
Teams may also have internal competitions, interesting fora/discussions, vote chess etc.

Do you run into fewer cheaters and sandbaggers playing team games instead of the general public? I was on a team on another site and I enjoyed it and had a plus score. How long are the time controls on team games? I've been playing 30:30 which is ok, but I prefer longer controls.
