Women and black people are not oppressed in chess, why do they need to be empowered?
They are though. The last time a woman was top 10 was 20 years ago. And do you see many black GMs?
What barriers are in the way of black people and women becoming gm's or world champions?

Oh yeah, we totally have racism and sexism in chess. Chess is a game that requires skill, strategy, and the ability to think, racism and sexism do not interfere with someone's rating or title in any way shape or form. The only thing that determines someone's rating or title is the way that person plays chess.
