My brother graduated from UO and still lives in Eugene. It's a very cool town. Good luck with the chess club, and of course, go Ducks!
University of Oregon Chess Club

Ill come whenever I can! Also, as a side note, there has been rumors of LCC trying to start a chess team. I need to check with the guy and see how that is going, but if we get enough intrest out here too we will start as well.

The club is still active! Thanks for your interest. We're still working out a time that we're going to meet this year, but it's more than likely to take place at the EMU Fishbowl on Thursdays. My best guess is that it'll take place from 3-5 PM, but I can't guarantee that yet. We'll probably start on the first week of first semester. I'll post any new information I get on the Emerald City Chess Club chess.com page.

Okay, so our meetings will happen on Thursdays from 2-5 PM in the EMU Fishbowl. Our first meeting will be Thursday October 1st. Hope to see you there!

Oh yeah. Oops, I forgot to put that down. It takes place in the EMU Fishbowl. We should be pretty easy to find.
Hello. If anyone is in the area and interested, the University of Oregon is restarting their chess program after a few years of inactivity. We'll be having our meetings in the Umpqua Room of the EMU every Thursday from 4-6 PM. All people are welcome, so even if you don't go to the U of O, come on by!
If we get enough interest we can probably have a tournament some time this term. Eugene has a huge untapped potential as a chess city, so if you come you could help start something great. Go Ducks!
