We are a long established club with a 9 year history.

We have regular 1199 rating and under tournaments as well as a monthly one. We also play team matches, vote chess and have two ladders, one for normal games and a 960 one. Only members play in our tournaments so as to keep out cheats, although we do sometimes open up some tournaments to try and attract new players. You will be made aware if this happens so you can choose whether to play in them or not, but ……

Groovers and Movers—

this is a group that emerged from the Groovy Gang. Some people have now risen in ratings, so Groovers was created. We have regular inter-group tournaments, matches, vote chess and a chess 'ladder'.

Regardless of your rating all are welcome to join.

Groovy-league-players

A club for Groovy Gang members who wish to participate in the One World League. This club will be exclusively representing the Groovy Gang Club in the One World League, and players must be a member of the Groovy Gang to participate. We will be competing against clubs all over the world in a league type format. So, this is an excellent way to represent the Groovy Gang Club internationally, and expand it's global identity. All players must be committed to playing the entire league, and represent the club in a respectful and sportmanslike fashion.
