Everyone seems just fly outta here now!
a thread for the mutings

thanks to batgirl, doc is back with us (thank you for that).
however, the elephant in the room still looms. without quick action by mods such as batgirl, the autobot will continue if there is no recognition and movement from staff on this.

So what is the plan when there is no post?
All hands on deck, fire drill? Pictures in the post office lobby?
perhaps you could be a little more specific?
as in, what does "no post" mean?
Well, I didn't understand how this would work. For example, if you get muted, will your minions alert us?

Now it's time we dance!
You may not touch my monkey!!!
Anyhow, if you want a hoot, go to https://www.chess.com/analysis/game/daily/233820862 and look at the position after Black played 52....Qxb2. I found a long-winded draw chance that was super complicated. The chess.com computer pointed out afterwards that Qxf5+ forces mate. It should be a position in chess puzzle books. Maybe even the daily puzzle.

'All the potatoes that you planted mama,
In the back yard,
All died when you went away,
I know that living with potatoes was sometimes hard,
But I'm willing to give it another try,
'Cause nothing compares,
Nothing compares to you.

gf3 has worn out his welcome here. sorry, pal. go somewhere else to post games.
strangemover, have anything on topic to add?

my minions?
how would anyone be able to post here if i'm muted? this topic will appear as "removed".
this topic has two functions. one, yes, is to alert others when people are muted and topics get all messed up with blank pages and disjointed conversation. the second is to show staff, as well as others, that the current version of the bot is a large fail.

Yes, the removal of postings by banned users, including OP's passing on ownership to the second poster, does render threads nonsensical. I have personally not encountered this bot which automutes/resticts/warns. I understand the dissatisfaction with this based on what has been described, and if enough folks make the point then hopefully changes will be made. For me my enjoyment of the site is not diminished, possibly because I am not a prolific poster/starter of threads. As always, if you are paying for a service and are not satisfied, there is the option to take your money elsewhere.

the irony. the creator of a topic about getting rid of the auto-mutes is now muted.
cc, this is a fail on your part. the poster i mention, lord_hammer has been, um, simmering. you (staff) provide nothing, and the simmering continues to a boil from the member where you then mute.
that is not good customer service.

What do you mean Al, not good customer service? They seem to be doing extremely well at giving out mutings!
The train has left the tracks!
