This DOES say that some troll games just don't work in the Long term. yes a post or two; or even a week or so-- but management will not indefinitely tolerate edgy TOS violations forever. IMHO.

would you consider talking amongst yourselves and exactly state HOW moderation will be changed from this point.
ARE you going to be MORE strict? are you saying that there will be limited Patience for people that refuse to listen to warnings?? are you hinting that spamming or XXXity will be more ENFORCED than it seems to be in the past?
I would really welcome PUBLIC comment on this.
but in the end, if you choose NOT to say anything. the actions stand for themselves. People should think twice about trolling and mind games.
This is a question many have, I think.
To answer this one has to check the reasons regarding Urk, Cherub and now 2Q0c. Answering this can get quite weird because so many are not happy with the bans, always seeing the good things instead of the really happened things. Means, the answer whether they are banned with a very good reason (like crossing a thick red line) or not will be anything but objective.
Just assuming the answer is yes, then they crossed a red line, an absolutely no-go and mods had no other chance than to ban them (otherwise more and more user would realize that crossing such red lines is without consequences) and that would mean it didn't happen due to a change in the moderation. Assuming the answer would be no then yes, it would look like the moderation was not that moderate these days and it could be with reason acting more hard.

Moderators have discretion and ability to offer input but they don't set the rules.

A Lot of threads about How Things are fine and even good with several trolls living large in only our memory.... and I could have I suppose posted to any of them.
OTOH- there's been a lot of projecting I think in the way some people feel, depending on where you stand with the Troll game.
the Real question lies with the mod/admin staff and though they have said a bit; I would like to hear it for myself.
Have You and Do you Intend to make a clear difference in the way that you moderate?
I've noticed that quite a few threads about some of this have uexpectantly been locked or redwritten. so it FEELS that you really ARE making a change- even if it is a short lived Course correction in the way that the forums are run?
Equally interesting is whether several trolls will continue to troll the way that have done in the past- and keep at the mind games that got three prominent accounts Banned (not muted). but honestly, I don't think I trust the trolls to give me a strait scoop as , THAT is the point in recent times of their mind game.
we will know in time if you chicken out, get detoured, or alter your game.
After like three different threads called "this site..." this feels like the very change we were pleading for.
thus. the danger of projections. just because it feels like christmas and we see the gifts under the tree- should we pinch ourselves to see if we are dreaming? Or not....
They weren't banned for trolling.
I don't see anything different happening on chess.com other than a few users, some who trolled more than others, started making major TOS violations all within the same short time frame.
