On the second question, there are 6.5 million members but most of those are basic/free members, not premium.
Are these Chess.com Numbers Correct?

There are not 6.5 million members, paying or otherwise.
That count of 6.5M records the number of accounts that have been opened since the site started. Many of those 6.5M are now abandoned, closed or duplicates.

232 countries includes some regions that are not full countries, such as International, Catalonia, Scotland, and Yugoslavia.

Ironically, the trolls who keep getting tossed out and coming back just to troll the forums here probably account for most of the bogus accounts they complain of.

Yeah, the only post that makes any sense is kco's, and, really, how often does one say that?
(I would have just written #5, but, in a few weeks, it might be a different number.)

weird you found that out by yourself, when it was about facebook they really needed a wall street journal to find out that it was like that. They were like shocked some people had multiple account, who would have thought.
On the "List of Countries" it is indicated that there are Chess.com members in "232" countries. The best references I can find put the number at about 196.
And are there actually over 6.5 million paying members? At over $100 per year membership fee, that's a lot of income. Is it that expensive to run the site or are my numbers way off?
