can’t seem to add friends from address book or Facebook

I joined during the thanksgiving promotion and it asked me if I wanted to access my contacts to add friends that were already members. I did the same with Facebook because why wouldn’t I want to play and improve with friends?

Problem is that of the dozens (if not more) of acquaintances that are in my contacts and fb friends nothings happening. Well 1 was able to accept. But whenever I go back to fb it doesn’t show anyone (before it used to show people). And my contact’s don’t allow me to add anyone saying something along the lines of I already have too many requests out.

What gives? Can anyone shed any light? I figured it was a bug or something because a lot of people might have joined through the promotion. But it’s been some time now and I’d like to add some people I know.
