Is it rude not to chat during daily chess games?

I just find it awkward to spill my guts to a complete stranger.

Just move e5 already...? You don't need to know my life history?

Most people don't chat in daily. But I would think it a bit rude if you just ignore your opponent's chats.

If dialog starts it’s good idea to support it. If it’s not the case - it’s fine to keep radio silence.
