Cheating/hacking player?

Hi guys,

This is my first time posting here, so please forgive me for any etiquette violations regarding this forum - I tried my best.

I just wanted your opinions on whether the player in the video below was cheating/hacking. During play, whenever he seemed like he was unhappy with his position, he flipped all the pieces back (on my screen at least) when it was my turn, rendering me unable to play anything, and causing me to appear to take an entire minute for a move (when it reset at last). I recorded it the second time it happened, where I tried to click on the most recent move in case it was a bug or something with the website (I didn't do this the first time). I checked to make sure I wasn't holding down any keyboard buttons, and I got suspicious as I had never seen anything happen like this on the website before. Please let me know if the video does not work, and sorry for the music in the background.

Thank you!

P.S I somehow still managed to win on time - go figure.

That file is on your local computer; you can only embed things hosted on other sites, not upload videos.

Just based on the description, it sounds like you were having connection issues to the Live server. The clients never directly connect, so your opponent can't impact your connection or cause resets.

Whenever I win, I am clearly the better player. Whenever I lose, my opponent is a cheater/hacker.

Sorry, I thought I had updated the link but I didn't. Thanks for responding, I fixed the link.

I made sure to test my internet before posting this, and I had the same connectivity as always, with no connection issues - although it could be the server connection, I'm not sure. It just seemed very odd to never happen before in all my games and then happen twice with one person.

Thanks again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Do you have scroll wheel? That almost looks like scrolling through the moves quickly. So definitely not a connection issue but also not hacking.

I guess it's possible the ad may have had some impact, though that's hard to say.

I wasn't scrolling with my scroll wheel, but, although I'm not entirely sure, there could have been some object touching one of my arrow keys, as I just tried to replicate the situation in analysis.
Many thanks for the responses, and I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience - I'm just going to accept this as the most likely explanation as I doubt hacking was occurring (hence why I posted this), and there isn't any point wasting your time with this matter anymore, as I haven't experienced it again.

Once again, I apologise.

Your rating is too low to worry about cheaters.  If you lose a game, just play another one.  Cheaters will get caught eventually.  Eventually, your playing strength is what matters the most, and win/lose is just a feedback of your playing strength.  If you play enough games, your rating point will be an accurate representation of your playing strength.  No cheater will stop that.

I’m furious. Lost to a game because of an illegal move. I dunno how he did it or how it happened but I have recorded evidence. I want the game to be put forward as a DQ and the player to have no gained a win? How do I do this? It’s not right or fair

Link to the game/recording, please?

(it's probably en passant)

Sure enough, it's en passant.
