I was surprised that both <Urk> and <Cherub_Enjel> got engaged in activities that led to their account closures. These were two relatively new contributors, that I generally enjoyed reading - like many others.
After reading these threads, I hope that I'm not being too hard on lower-rated players, and I wish to apologize in case I ever offended someone on these pages (the exception being people who themselves abuse others, who therefore won't be immune).
I wrote this in another forum post but i will post it here to get the message across.
The lesson Chess.com is trying to teach us is a simple one. "Be helpful, relevant and nice or you will be muted or your account will be closed". As In life, if you don’t learn a lesson, then that lesson will keep presenting itself to you until you do.

I am afraid to say that of all the forums I have been involved in, the chess.com forums are amongst the worse when it comes to cyberbullying. I am often amazed how evil people can be once they are hiding behind an avatar.
Absolutely correct. Hopefully Chess.com is finally recognizing that they need to take a zero tolerance policy to the cyber-bullies...
These trolls feed and thrive on the attention they receive. They do this through defecating their negativity anonymously on social media. This is the only way they are able to feel relevant and affirm their otherwise empty existence. They are incapable of contributing anything positive to society. The best approach the rest of us can take is to simply ignore them and their posts - do not respond to them no matter how tempted you may be to do so. Like weeds deprived of water, they will eventually disappear...
