Chess cheaters in 2026 - Myth or reality?

Seriously, if you want to cheat in chess, then I honestly don’t think you should be playing it in the first place.

I understand how frustrating it is to lose ELO after several bad games. I’ve been there too. But instead of rage quitting or cheating, I practiced. Every day, I worked on new openings, studied different positions, and tried to improve at avoiding blunders and mistakes — something I still struggle with even now.

I know improving isn’t easy, but cheating helps nobody. What do you really gain from it? And what about the players who spent time practicing and improving, only to lose against someone using unfair advantages?

I know this topic has already been discussed many times, and I’m sure some people will disagree with me or leave hate comments after I post this. Still, I just don’t want honest players losing games because of cheaters. So, that's why I made this post, not just for myself, but for the many individuals out there.
