I've stopped competing and largely stopped playing on chess.com due to the vast amount of cheaters.
There's however an easy fix to largely rid cheating from chess.com.
Make it so only chess.com PAYING members with 1 year plans or more play against each-other. If you're not paying, you'll play in an isolated non-paying pool of players (cheaters/cheapskates)
This is the model for a paying-player-pool:
1. Register an email.
2. Sign up a new Chess.com account
3. Register an active card VISA/MASTERCARD
4. Payment for at least 1 year of membership or more.
5. Subscriptions are NOT cancelled if banned. It's a binding CONTRACT that locks up that users payment info for the entirety of the time. If they complain, take it to court and win big.
6. Once their contract runs out, their card and personal number is banned and can never be reused at chess.com.
Chess.com could then use all of these profits from these 1-year bound accounts to fund their anti-cheating teams efforts and tech.
Cheers.
