Chess.com Rating Distribution

The simple truth is, there are a lot of useless accounts on chess.com that are made of players who have played little to none, with extremely low ratings. The data is skewed because of that.

the rating system as well as winning pts distribution system needs a big reboot/revamp on this platform.. i just don't understand why i'm in 2000s still when i beat the 64th globally ranked on rapid leaderboards here quite comfortably

Where can I find this histogram? I stumbled on it once but can't find my way back there
It's on the Leaderboard pages

I've noticed the percentile on chess.com tends to be quite generous compared to other sites such as Lichess
Percentile is based on math. There's a lot more lower rated players on site, with the average Rapid rating of 664 with almost 51 million players in the pool.

The ratings distribution was shifted to the left over the last 5 or so years. The rapid average was over 1100 and is now 637. My percentile rating had stayed around 90%, but my rating is down about 200 points from 2018.

My chess.com rating fluctuates between 1150 up to 1300. When I first tried to investigate how good this rating is, I read that the average rating was 1200. I was surprised, I thought I was well above average. Today I found out the actual average is about 650 or thereabouts. This makes a lot more sense.
