Yeah, you are right. We should get them to have one big tourney once a year where 1st can get a platinum membership, 2nd a yearly membership, and 3rd a monthly membership. Every month there could be one where 1st would get monthly 2nd would get 2 things to upgrade of his/her choice and 3rd one thing to. How about that

That could work. A site membership is a small enough incentive that it shouldn't encourage rampant cheating like money or a chess mentor membership would.
SO,what are we waiting for? Let's get chess.com to do this. And the first one should be asap!

I'd like to prove myself for a membership reward from a platinum member... give me incentive to play my best and think ahead about trade/exchange pieces.
But, do you need to win $100 to enjoy the game? In some parts of the world $100 buys more than a tank of gas, and there are people who would be willing to spend 10 min/day online to cheat and claim that money.
