Sorry, me again: Where do you checked this? A set close to those used in 1951 and 1963 has been used (approximately!).

Thanks mhp, i'll check and correct it as soon as possible.

Done! I refreshed the pic of the set used in 1954. The picture is a close up of the front page of the book "world chess championship 1954".

Enjoy

Hi Martin, thanks for the compliment.

The early chess set is a saint-george chessmen, check it here:

The Dublin pattern, doesn't appear in any of our pics and drawings related to world chess championship sets.

Here's a comment about the Dublin patterns:

Well i suppose i know it: the pic you sent is not a Dublin, it's a saint-george.

Here's another famous chess set folks, it appears to be the same used in Tal - Botvinik, Botvinik - Petrossian and in Petrossian - Spassky championships...

My favorite of the Soviet era sets. I love mine Laughing

Even your board pays homage to the paint-on-a-pine-box boards Soviet sets come with.

Happy you enjoy it Chuck.

Calm down Martin, of course it's the pic i sent and you used back in your post; although i never said it was a Dublin pattern. In my answer to your question whether it was a Dublin or not, i just meant to inform you the set was a saint-georges...

Hi Ron, thanks for the comments concerning the 1993 chess set. Can you share with us additional informations or high quality pictures related to this chess set ? Anyway, i'll post here some pics of it so our friends can visualize it better:
