Chess.com Feature Request and Wishlist #6

Titles for better players. You don't have to call them master/grand master if you don't want to, but something along the same lines: if you can get to a certain rating and complete certain tasks (norms), you get a title.

Forgive me if this has already made the list:
But, when I send someone a link to a game that I think is interesting, like this:
http://www.chess.com/livechess/game.html?id=25380953
When the person clicks the link the game opens at the END of the game, which ruins the presentation...
For ongoing turn-based games this makes sense, but for completed games and live chess, it would be really nice if the default position loaded was at move 1 rather than at the end.
It may seem like a minor issue, but one of the reasons why i now play exclusively here, is because all of my games are available for review and can be shared with others, simply by copying-and-pasting the link.
Thanks in advance!

Actually, there really is no need to reinvent the wheel here... the standard USCF class structure should do nicely... a simple "(C)" or "(B)" for example after a users name would work just fine.
International/Professional Titles Grandmaster - (GM) Awarded by FIDE for three GM norms.
International Master - (IM) Awarded by FIDE for three IM norms.
FIDE Master - (FM) Minimum FIDE rating of 2300 after 24 games
National Senior Master - (SM) USCF Rating 2400+
National Master - (NM) USCF Rating 2200+
Expert/Candidate Master - (Expert/CM) USCF Rating 2000+
National US Amateur Classes
National Class A - USCF (1800-1999) Top Amateur Class
National Class B - USCF (1600-1799) Strong Tournament Player
National Class C - USCF (1400-1599) Average Tournament Player
National Class D - USCF (1200-1399) Strong Social Player
National Class E - USCF (1000-1199) Social Player
National Class F - USCF (800-999) Novice Player
National Class G - USCF (600-799) Beginner II/Scholastic Player
National Class H - USCF (400-599) Beginner I/Scholastic Player
National Class I - USCF (200-399) Early beginner/Scholastic Player
National Class J - USCF (100-199) Minimum Rating Class

To get IM, one must have rating of 2400+3 norms, to get GM rating 2500+3 norms. Not only the norms.
I just copied the information I found at the first site I found...

I don't know. Considering how many "Chess.com's ratings are inflated" threads there are, it might be worth it to reinvent the wheel so as to avoid confusion with other wheels.

Agreed.

What do people think?
I was wondering what it would be like if there were more than one class of 'member' in groups, so that the group leader (super-admin) would be able to 'promote' people without giving them the responsibility of the 'admin' position.
He/she could then 'promote' people for, maybe, participating in lots of Team Matches. I think this might be a sensible improvement.
Any comments?
Thanks,
OG

More variants would be nice! :) I know it's a lot of work and you've got loads going on, but perhaps giveaway, bughouse, atomic, Scottish?

Here's an idea I had to try to stem some of the repeated resurrection of common themes in the forums ("Resignation etiquette", "What are member points", "Chess: Sport or game" etc.):
If the idea to implement keyword tags in the forums was implemented as has been recommended a couple of times in previous iterations of this wish-list, it occurred to me that the possibility of "keying in" on these keywords as they were being typed into the new forum topic title entry box could possibly allow for a dynamic recommendation of similar threads (based on their keywords matching words being entered into the title box) in a list below the title box as it was being typed.
I could swear I saw this same functionality on the tech-support submission form on this very site that recommended FAQ entries based on the title of the issue being submitted, but I can no longer locate where this was.
