I tried to keep it on topic, failed miserably...
Note that it was actually pretty much jrcolonial quoting himself over and over again.
But, lets keep it from happening again, people! And now to make sure this post is on-topic...
This idea isn't incredibly good, but I believe it would be a nice addition to the site nonetheless. My idea is this- a Demonstration area. Possibly for gold members and upwards.
At set dates and times, grandmasters, international masters, etc. (who will need to be paid, one of the reasons for the premiums) will be on the Demonstration section of the site lecturing about one topic or another. Members watching the demonstration (premium) will be able to send questions they have DURING the lecture, via sending a message. These questions would then be answered in real time (only the ones the lecturer feels should be answered). This way, no-one goes home confused.
There are issues with timezones etc., of course. Also, perhaps an archive of previous live lectures would go down well.
Hm... make lower rated (NM maybe) do ones for free members :)
My worry was that free members would spam useless questions at the lecturers.
let the lecturer block those people, maybe give warnings to premiums, ban frees?
