Isn't the "exploit" described by the 1400 guy public knowledge? And the solution is to use ping packets to see if the lag is consistent with the one measured by the playing interface. Sure, everything can be hacked, but it might be much easier to use a chess engine to find the moves.

That wasn't the exploit I'm talking about. I think you're referring to the Live game clock-hack issue that Erik addressed above.
