I saw a movie about the founding of Rome called The First King. Not sure it was historically accurate though.....

Even history isn't historically accurate. Please don't ask me what that means

Augustus Caesar was the 1st emperor of Rome in 30B.C.  There was a Rome before him.....a loose assortments of city-states. He was the 1st to combine them. As they got bigger & stronger, they went out and conquered more territory.

Where are they now?

no dunt trust me these guys are very different but the princess account actually did post a forum a couple of weeks ago which eventually got locked and colby was online but again idk what has happened to him but its pretty much confirmed they aren't the same person

cooloutAC was also his name on non-chess forums where he had the same style, so it's not like he came out of nowhere.

Also colby was a bit of a narcissist. It's hard for me to imagine he'd spend that much time roleplaying a low rated overweight guy... well... since CooloutAC is an old name and pfp, we'd practically have to assume it wasn't roleplay at all (i.e. that was the real him)... making it even less likely.

Colby was also a bit of a psychopath in that he could be charming. He'd pretend to be interested in things you like for example. I never saw coolout do this. In fact a bit of the opposite with all that music he posted.

And in general colby came off as more calculating while coolout came across as being sincere. For example colby would change the topic of discussion or the position he was arguing, while coolout stuck with the same ideas and arguments.

Coolout seemed authentic to me. An authentic what is another matter. But authentic.

For some reason he believed that blitz was by far the best type of chess to play. He posted a lot about it. He thought that it was the ultimate way to play chess, the best way to learn, best to watch, required more influential thought process etc. When in this reality it is entirely untrue.

Festerthetester

One of my first encounters with him was a thread he created to call chess a stupid game and that he was quitting the site.  He wanted attention and got it.  This thread is what he craves.
