I feel like this is reasonable bait. I can either say I'm the same, which gives you info, or share some kind of weakness or disability of mine, which can you remember for later.

I assume this was an intuitive attempt, and not something completely calculated. I mean, you're quiet for so long, then in the middle of insulting me you throw this out. It's obvious where your mindset was while you typed this.

Or I have an overactive imagination. Who knows.

I enjoy reading people, always have.

There is one thing that you and YGNR have in common llama, just saying.

Yes, he's learning. He is, at this point, probably a half-troll.

I enjoy you and the fact that you can actually keep up with me.

I wish we were more friendly with each other though, you unfriended me I think

I'm not being Machiavellian all the time you know. Actually pretty much not at all. I don't know why people don't like me... other than I get drunk and I'm relentlessly rude at least once a day lol.

I guess that's a pretty good reason.

Colby-Covington

The concept of liking somebody is irrelevant and rather foreign to me.

I find you interesting, that is far more noteworthy and important, in my opinion.

llama44

Ok.

I'm just a regular meat bag, full of p!ss and emotions. Sometimes I admire sociopaths, but I'm not one. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Colby-Covington

Do you know the difference between a sociopath and a psychopath? (without googling it)

Colby-Covington

I just bought a WD external hard drive. wd is the best in my opinion.

JohnHS

It seems to me that there are remarkable numbers of emotionally ... surpressed? people who think they're sociopaths or psychopaths.

llama44

Eh, I think the definitions have changed since I took a 101 psychology class, so I'm pretty sure whatever I say will be inaccurate according to google.

I think now-a-days it's something like one of them is genetic and the other happens afterwards... like sociopath is born and psychopath is made, or maybe the other way around.

In my mind sociopath lacks empathy, so they can't understand the part of human instincts that bind communities and societies together. They learn the rules and learn to pretend in order to survive among the normies. They're fundamentally Machiavellian. They're extremely skilled at manipulation, they have no real friends, because "real" friends are useless.

Psychopath is similar, but they kill people, lol.

That's how I think of it in my head.

Yeah, along with being bipolar or depressed. Every idiot edgy teenager thinks they're some thing or another, when they're just another boring person, nothing remarkable about them heh.

Particularly all the basically normal people who go "i'M sO qUiRkY LOL"

Yeah, not totally wrong. Also you didn't google, extra points for that.

In my honest opinion, I believe that psychopathy, contrary to the current scientific consensus, is in no way shape or form a pathology of the mind.

It is simply the next step in human evolution. What is the single most destructive and unpredictable trait of a human being? Without a doubt, emotion.

Eliminating that fundamental flaw and ridding us of such weakness is simply nature's answer to our history, while ensuring our survival.

Simply more like a machine, isn't that what we all strive to achieve?

What do you think those 60-70yo billionaires are doing with their money?

They are investing in trans-huminist, top secret projects with the sole purpose of extending their life span. We are talking, cryogenics, essence transfer (transferring one's consciousness into a machine or at least having it be electronically interpreted), spirit cooking etc;

I'd argue that emotion is extroadinarily beneficial to humans survival, seeing as how it's a distinctive characteristic of the most dominant species on the planet. It helps keep people from killing each other for the sake of expediency, which helps the species overall, as opposed to merely helping a hyper-logical psychopathic individual.

llama44

In the past communities were necessary to survive. We needed to feel bonds of family, and fight to death to defend our tribe. We made up stories that exulted heroes for deeds like self sacrifice.

In the future, with so much done by technology, sure, maybe psychopaths will take over.

In the end though, being an extant species comes down to only one question: do you successfully reproduce or not? That's the only thing evolution cares about.

So being the next step in evolution definitely might involve increased wealth and political power. It's not hard to imagine that CEOs and successful politicians are in that mold. But the real litmus test is whether or not they're having more babies... and they're probably not. The moron who is seduced by his hormones to have 10 kids by 10 different baby mommas is, evolutionary speaking, the most successful.

But sure, wealthy and powerful people have mistresses... as long as they're not paying for abortions and having lots of kids Genghis Khan style, then sure, I'd say they're the next step because technology has changed things.

There are many species that have social behavior. That's not our distinct characteristic. What distinguishes us is our extreme (by comparison only) intelligence.

I said human emotion is somewhat distinct, in my opinion. Animals are much less likely to exhibit any sort of altruism for things that aren't direct members of their tribe/their children.
