I played around with a search for a good synonym for " sleep on it" but didn't have much success. Again, the idea is sound but it's not great as a brand.
Debate: What to call "Online Chess"...

I agree though, sleep on it isnt a great brand name, especially for a profit based site. Synonyms tend to make it sound as if its so boring that it puts you to sleep. 'Comatose Chess'. Lolz. Sort of makes you think of a 4 knights opening.

At the end of the day, as a footballer would say, we will have to settle for a name that fits a balance between accuracy and catchiness. The more accurate it gets, the less attractive it tends to sound.

In post revolutionary america they did actually rename the king 'president' but it didnt catch. Someone earlier on commented saying they didnt care for the history or tradition of the game. That's their opinion, but I disagree strongly. Chess' rich and varied history adds a whole other level to the game that if taken away reduces the game to a rather bleak world, void of culture or legacy...

Christ guys its chess thats it, heres a wild one, lets call it chess. It doesnt matter if you play a game in 5mins, 10years, blindfolded, via carrier pigeon, on a screen, on a board, on the floor of a masonic lodge or via telepathy its just chess no matter what wrapping paper its in, i think people get that.
Alternatively we could go with corporate chess, or drop chess altogether.

I quite like the idea of just 'Chess'
What is needed is something catchy yet accurate, clearly. 'Asynchronous' is accurate but about as catchy an idea as Nazi Germany. I also like the acronym idea put forward by chessplayer 11. AIDS chess does have a certain ring to it.
Once a name sticks, it will become normalised even if it is bizarre sounding at first.
Here a couple of humble suggestions:
Sleep-On-It Chess
Deep Analysis Chess (DA Chess)
There's my two cents.
