Do individual bots get easier the more you play them?

I enjoy playing bots, but I've noticed a trend with them. A bot will beat me, then later I draw against it. The next time I win. Do bots "remember" me, or is it a sign that I'm getting stronger? Or is their play just a random throw of the dice? Or is inconsistency just inherent in playing a bot? I'd like to think that my daily puzzles, lessons, and practice matter somewhat, but with bots, I'm not so sure. Are bots of increasing difficulty a good measure of my chess progress?
