I do sometimes, depends what kind of mood I'm in. I did last night as I've just bought the new Hammerfall album 'Hammer of Dawn'. Rockin' 😀
I was taught how to play Chess at 4 years old by a Cookery teacher, we’d make cakes first, and whilst in the oven, she’d ask, who wants to draw? And who wants to play Chess ? While we played she played Vivaldi’s Four Seasons by Menuhin on a cassette player. It’s still to this day hear it in my head whilst playing.
I listen to rap while playing bullet and blitz and classical music while playing rapid.

If any, I will listen to something tense and exciting while making moves in my daily games. Such as 'Dance of the Knights' by Sergei Prokofiev. Here is my full playlist :

Sometimes I also listen to traditional South Asian music. Nothing specific to it, just the type of music I like. Definitely more relaxing than loud classical music !

I rock out to Christian rock, pop, rap and country while I play. Oh . . .and I also munch on Reese’s Pieces. It all adds up to a rollicking, albeit dorky good time!

I pretty much listen to music 24/7, so yes! I just play whatever's on my main playlist with my current favorites, so right now it's mostly alternative/indie, rock, and lo-fi.

Relaxing music. Either one of my YouTube mixes, or a GD live show (usually from the 70s). Sometimes I'll put on more active music, like my ever-evolving Bigg Mixx, but it tends to become distracting. My play speeds up. I get jazzed, but it's really a kind of over-confidence.
