Do your friends play chess?

First question: do you have any friends who play chess? If so, how many friends?

Second question: have you told them about Chess.com? If so, what did they say or do?

I'll answer my own question:

Many many of my friends play chess. I have dozens of friends who play, from beginners to GMs. I admit though that I have an unsual number of chess friends because of my job :)

I have told most of them about Chess.com. They have all been really supportive, but they keep asking the tough question: can you play online? :( Almost there!!

When I was in Malawi, almost all my friends played Chess. (for some reason i feel guilty when I write Chess like this: chess - with a small letter "c") - Anyway, here, most of my friends don't play Chess because... I don't play as much. When I go to tournaments, I really don't make friends... I make acquaintances. I don't get to see the guys except at Chess tournaments, and I have played just a few. What a way to answer your simple question?! Wink

Several of my friends play chess but all are really hard to beat. One has an uncle who firgured out how to beat someone in six moves no matter what you do!!! I have a cousin who I would beat easily cause he would make really really stupid moves. But recently he's been thinking about his moves and he can pull off an endgame!!! Who would have guessed?

My only friends that really play chess, I met at the chess club.  Before I joined a club, I didn't have any friends that played "serious" chess.

I have 2 friends that play Chess. I can beat one almost everytime and the other I haven't played in awhile and I have gotten better so I bet I can beat him almost all the time as well, but the main thing is to just enjoy the game.

I play at a chess club in my area. and no I don't know any of my friends that have chess.com. I'm trying to get two other friends to become interested in chess and join chess.com

Wow. chess.com really has grown since it started. I just assumed it had always been possible to play online chess, but to answer Erik's question. Yeah, I have a lot of friends that play chess, about 30 in my school club, plus about 3 titled players in the actual team, and about another 20 outside of the club, but in my area.

I know everyone in the actual team has a chess.com account, as they competed in the PRO Chess League, but sadly they lost in the round of 16 sad.png And I'd say about half of my school chess club have an account, and almost everyone that I'm friends with outside the university have an account as well.

Chess.com really grew to become the gold standard for chess websites. Congrats!!

Just two. Board games are just not the in-thing anymore.
