Does reporting actually work?
To cheat reports absolutely not anymore. They used to respond to reports so often on here that I'd log in to multiple point refunds every day. Literally every day. Now I never hear back about reports. The only opponent that has been banned while I've had this account was a guy who blatantly used an engine for every move for five games, and was banned during our game. Hilariously, I didn't even get a notification of him being banned and still haven't had the points refunded (this was a week ago). So even the one blatant cheat they did catch still didn't do anything for me lol. I have played numerous cheats that I'm 100% certain would have been banned a couple years ago and have had no responses at all. It's super common now for lost opponents to block me in the middle of the game and then destroy me. None of them will be banned. This started happening after they removed the option to contact human support and replaced it with the "AI chat bot" that literally doesn't work whatsoever. I assume the two are related and they no longer have as many eyes on things. It's pretty sad because responsiveness to cheat reports was the only thing chess.com had over lichess.
