ELO rating

So how long do you guys think it takes to reach 1000 ELO?

Little things. Elo doesn't need to be all caps. It's not an abbreviation or acronym. Plus if we are being technical (which I am), chess.com and lichess.org use different versions of glicko.

The answer to your question is, it depends. I've seen several new players get to 1000 after a few months. Though for many, it could take 6 months to a year or longer. And some never make it. There are a lot of factors to how quickly you will improve. Time available to devote to chess, whether or not they study, if they play consistently each day, what a person's motivation is, medical issues getting in the way, etc.

Thanks!
I'm 15 and I play around 30 minutes to 2 hours a day. Doing various things like bots, puzzles and chess games. What would you estimate for me?

Have no idea. Doing all that stuff may have zero outcome in terms of improvement

I agree with MrChatty. Everyone learns differently so it's difficult to say.

A quick note. I wouldn't play bots if you want to improve. I'd play against real people. Bots at almost any level aren't going to play as people do. They are programmed to make random blunders to simulate different rating levels. And almost all of them are over rated. For instance, you could probably beat a 1000 rated bot right now, but would have very little chance against a 1000 rated person.

Just dont play bullet, and think about your moves before you play them, and after the game analyze, or game review if you have premium. You will get there eventually

I don’t think I was ever below it, but I do know how to get you above it if you’d like some help.

Bullet is only way I have 1000 right now

 bots

Lots of people say don't only play bots.

Bots are pretty predictable and the ratings don't match the performance at all.

I totally suck, but I learned a lot just dumping bots and playing humans instead.

I tried the parrot-bot when I was preparing a blog

Play with longer time control and analyze them afterward. I don't think there is anything better to improve in chess.
