Vulpes, I believe in quality not quantity.
You could offer 3 friendships and ask people to write a couple of paragraphs about what they have to offer you? Make it like a competition.
Sorry Vulpes, I read that wrong, I thought you had 30 people wanting to be friends. Three is not such a lot. Still, same applies. Offer 1 friendship and see which of the three would be the best friend.

Just reply thanks but you currently have more friends than you can deal with and are not accepting new requests at this time.
