One of the topics that has recently captured the interest of the chess community is oddity and fluctuation of accuracy in blitz games. Legendary former world champion Vladimir Kramnik has even come forward publicly posting statistics in his chess.com profile of what he presented as large fluctuations in accuracy, showing some accuracy statistics of some top GMs of the site.

Much of my career I have worked with data and representations of data via reports and dashboards, visualizing trends over time, variance and many other types of statistics. The numbers Kramnik posted did seem a bit abnormal, but my intuition was that the numbers were cherry picked and misleading. To tickle my curiosity I decided to do a quick export of the last 100 games of 5 of chess.coms best blitz players along with the accuracy of each game. This visual representation I think is a much better indicator of fluctuation in accuracy of these GMs. There is not much variance between them with Magnus being the most stable and generally trending highest accuracy as would be expected.
