Some people complain about smurfing. I'm not sure how true it is. It might be, but I have doubts.
I looked at ~5 or so of your recent losses. Nothing stood out to me as you being outclassed. I think sometimes it feels that way because, you know, maybe a queen starts capturing a few pieces on your back rank, so the game get out of control very early and feels bad, even though it was only 1 or 2 mistakes that caused it to happen.
One quick check is to look at their profile. If they have played a few 100 games look at their highest rating stat.
Anyway, nothing wrong with playing against AI for now.
I recently started playing chess. Sometimes i am matched against people who make big mistakes like myself. But most of the time im getting crushed by player of my elo which doesn't make any sense to me.
If they are so much better then this elo, why are they still stuck there?
Im not a stranger to competitive gaming so i know there are people who like to "smurf". High elo players using new accounts to crush lower elo players.
Is this a thing in Chess.com?
I also figured it would be hard to sort out cheaters in the beginner elo.
How are you supposed to stay positive and dont get frustrated, if you dont see any progress.
Right now i focus on playing against AI.
