No.
Girls out there, don't let anyone tell you can't be as good, or that you shouldn't play chess!
Um. You know, the other gender. Obviously. That's a weird question.
is it any different if your a girl playing chess ?
you’re
Most girls can spell.

Yes, but can they grasp the small but vital difference between spelling and puncuation?
pROBABLY BETTER THAT YOU. Contractions are spelling.

I just learned a new contraction. Spent the day in Spokane last Wednesday. Walked the riverfront which was very nice, except for a number of residents who were, shall we say, feeling no pain.
So we went into the city hall which was only a block away. Talked to a police officer there for about 15 minutes. He had a word for the what the city is becoming. He combined the words Spokane and Compton. Spokompton. There is no apostrophe, so I don't know if that counts.

This is an excellent example of what is known as a Portmanteau Word, which is the combination of two existing words to create a new one. Examples include Smoke+Fog= Smog, Britain + Exit = Brexit, Pannsylvania + Kentucky = Pennsyltucky, and now, of course, we have Spokompton.
The social rot you describe is not amusing in any way, of course.

I have never witnessed nor overheard any girl being told she "can't be as good", or that she "shouldn't play chess". Have you? Has anyone? Or is this scenario just a strawman? (Sorry, Strawgirl!)
Maybe the disparity in male/female chess players reflects something else? Something like, Oh I don't know...inherent differences or something?
I was just trying to be encouraging, lol.
And yes, I have seen it myself. This isn't usually the case though, where someone says it outright like that, but it does happen. Even once at a tournament, I saw a coach or maybe just the kid's dad, not sure, yelling at a small kid for losing to a girl. In front of the girl, too. He said "if your still losing to girls, how do you think you'll ever be good?!" His exact words.
On that note, it is also very much the attitude of chess players. There is a lot of misogyny in the chess community which is probably the biggest reason why not enough women play chess. We all need to do our part to make chess more inclusive.

Not a contraction, but a portmanteau, as noted.
I started hearing that term in the 1990s when there was an notable immigration of members of LA area gangs. Now, the gangs in my part of town seem to be Marshall Islanders.

Life is endlessly entertaining if you're approaching it right
A Portmanteau is a kind of suitcase, by the way, which opens into two separate, hinged compartments. Closing the two sections restores it to a single unit, in the same way 'closing' two words creats a new whole. You run into portmanteaus in classic lit such as Dickens and Austen. (That is, the characters in old novels use portmanteaus when they travel).
Here's a picture:
While on tour promoting his book, Ecological Imperialism, historian Alfred Crosby employed the term "portmanteau biota" to describe alien species that traveled in the hulls of ships (metaphorically in a suitcase). He used the example of Russian thistle, known today throughout the American west as the tumbleweed. I was in graduate school when I attended such a lecture in 1991, but that term has always resonated in my memory.
Bro. I'm a girl, and look at my chess rating.
EDIT: Yeah, I know it's low, but it's good for a 12 year old!

12-year-old kid can reached up to 2300 nowaday so i don't think so
But at least for you
Lol, that doesn't mean that's average for a 12 year old. 2300 is above average for everyone

EXACTLY
"is it any different if your a girl playing chess ?"
My first thought is 'of course there is. You're a girl.' And it has been my experience that men tend to be jerks when it comes to girls wanting to move in on what they see as 'man's territory.' But then, you know all of this. You're a girl.
Chess doesn't change men all that much. It has been my experience that it amplifies you. i.e. if you are a personality who tends to become angry or lose their temper when things don't go your way, then you will likely be losing your s*%t in the tournaments.
Some claim that chess is for the logical, the unemotional, the Stoic and Pragmatic. But that's a lot of lip service too. Men believe that these characteristics are 'quality'. They might be right. We'll never know.
Reading the memoirs of the Russian trained grandmasters of the 20th century, and their descriptions of the terror they have felt, the soul ripping self-doubt, which has tormented them, and worried on their heart like a dog worries a bone... well, it causes doubt.
And, well, there is a Women's league? Why is there a women's league. Well, to separate the players at in the upper echelons.
The Women's World Chess Championship is played to determine the world champion in women's chess. Like the World Chess Championship, it is administered by FIDE. Unlike the World Chess Championship, there are no men in the running.
Judit Polgar is one of the greatest chess players of all time. Also one of the best strategic minds. At 15 years old, she beat chess champion Bobby Fisher and earned the title of the highest-rated female player in history. Recently she claimed victory over Magnus Carlsen. They call her the number one female player. Not the 5th or 8th or 20th rated Chess Player -- because she's a girl.
So, no, these days you're probably not going to hear regular players say that a woman can't be as good as a man in chess. Most of them will even be surprised to discover there is a Woman's League separate from the Men's.
... But it is still being said.

Nicely said, imo....i've also been of the opinion that chess tends to reflect existing character traits rather than alter them.
Yeah, sorry I didn't bother to say something relevant, if you're complaining about my comment......I felt like this kind of thread appears all the time so I figured it would be answered in many ways in a short period of time.
But to answer OP's question? Idk, i'm not aware of any difference.....other than how some people may perceive us. I haven't played tournaments, though, so I can't speak to tournament experiences.
